Biggroove Records was set up in the early part of 2006. The reason for setting it up was that we had written a track called Something More and had received some very good feedback on the track and (naively thought!) the track would be a hit and /or be signed/licensed. This did not happen. We wrote some more material, acquired studio equipment, formed EKA (E-K-A) consisting of Ekow Armah (keyboards) and Kimsuki a guest female singer from the US. It was decided at the time that Biggroove records would be an umbrella organisation that would allow Ekow Armah to write and produce in a number of different styles and release music which we hoped would be noticed or even chart! During this time we wrote material (the original Anutha time-first release from our 'home' studio) which, in had a different feel to EKA, so Indiscretion was created.. Both EKA and Indiscretion are funky house projects-EKA trax will always be vocal tracks and in the direction of commercial funky house. Indiscretion tracks are deeper house, some with vocals and a number of instrumentals. We have managed to bring together some of those early sounds with todays’ production as well as brand new tracks moving EKA in the direction that we feel it is going into, to bring you Everything is Going to be Alright-EKA’s debut album. Why the title? Well in getting to this point there have been many ups and downs-but in the end we had a strong feeling that-Everything is Going to be Alright
Around 18 months ago we found ourselves with tracks that did not fit neatly into EKA or Indiscretion-so Mr A was born. The first release was Summer Dream Symphony-Ibiza dance track meets strings-it was to later become the track FREEE with vocals from Emma Louise (SEL).
